第1段
中文	所以你们若真与基督一同复活，就当求在上面的事。那里有基督坐在神的右边。
英文	If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

第2段
中文	你们要思念上面的事，不要思念地上的事。
英文	Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

第3段
中文	因为你们已经死了，你们的生命与基督一同藏在神里面。
英文	For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

第4段
中文	基督是我们的生命，他显现的时候，你们也要与他一同显现在荣耀里。
英文	When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

第5段
中文	所以要治死你们在地上的肢体。就如淫乱，污秽，邪情，恶欲，和贪婪，贪婪就与拜偶像一样。
英文	Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

中文	因这些事，神的忿怒必临到那悖逆之子。
英文	For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

中文	当你们在这些事中活着的时候，也曾这样行过。
英文	In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.

第8段
中文	但现在你们要弃绝这一切的事，以及恼恨，忿怒，恶毒，（或作阴毒）毁谤，并口中污秽的言语。
英文	But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

第9段
中文	不要彼此说谎，因你们已经脱去旧人和旧人的行为，
英文	Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

第10段
中文	穿上了新人。这新人在知识上渐渐更新，正如造他主的形像。
英文	And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

第11段
中文	在此并不分希腊人，犹太人，受割礼的，未受割礼的，化外人，西古提人，为奴的，自主的，惟有基督是包括一切，又住在各人之内。
英文	Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

第12段
中文	所以你们既是神的选民，圣洁蒙爱的人，就要存（原文作穿下同）怜悯，恩慈，谦虚，温柔，忍耐的心。
英文	Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

第13段
中文	倘若这人与那人有嫌隙，总要彼此包容，彼此饶恕。主怎样饶恕了你们，你们也要怎样饶恕人。
英文	Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

第14段
中文	在这一切之外，要存着爱心。爱心就是联络全德的。
英文	And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

第15段
中文	又要叫基督的平安在你们心里作主。你们也为此蒙召，归为一体。且要存感谢的心。
英文	And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

第16段
中文	当用各样的智慧，把基督的道里，丰丰富富的存在心里，（或作当把基督的道里丰丰富富的存在心里以各样的智慧）用诗章，颂词，灵歌，彼此教导，互相劝戒，心被恩感歌颂神。
英文	Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

第17段
中文	无论作什么，或说话，或行事，都要奉主耶稣的名，藉着他感谢父神。
英文	And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

第18段
中文	你们作妻子的，当顺服自己的丈夫，这在主里面是相宜的。
英文	Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.

第19段
中文	你们作丈夫的，要爱你们的妻子，不可苦待他们。
英文	Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.

第20段
中文	你们作儿女的，要凡事听从父母，因为这是主所喜悦的。
英文	Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.

第21段
中文	你们作父亲的，不要惹儿女的气，恐怕他们失去志气。
英文	Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.

第22段
中文	你们作仆人的，要凡事听从你们肉身的主人，不要只在眼前事奉，像是讨人喜欢的，总要存心诚实敬畏主。
英文	Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:

第23段
中文	无论作什么，都要从心里作，像是给主作的，不是给人作的。
英文	And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

第24段
中文	因你们知道从主那里，必得着基业为赏赐。你们所事奉的乃是主基督。
英文	Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

第25段
中文	那行不义的，必受不义的报应。主不偏待人。
英文	But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
